The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is a unique civic learning experience. Celebrating its 25th year, this dynamic, global event brings Nobel Peace Prize winners, civic leaders, and scholars together with students and other citizens. As the Norwegian Nobel Institute’s only such program or academic affiliation outside of Norway, the Nobel Peace Prize Forum has a special mission: to inspire peacemaking by celebrating the work of Peace Prize winners.

This program features Nobel Laureate and microcredit pioneer Muhammad Yunus along with workshops and networking with leading business innovators and social entrepreneurs.

New for 2013, this program explores the relationship of health and science to global security. It features two keynote presentations (to be announced soon) along with break-out sessions and workshops with thought leaders and scientists who are reshaping our world.

Sunday, March 10: Global Studies Day
This program examines the broad topics that underpin or undermine world peace. Featuring keynote by Nobel Laureate Tawakkol Karman, Yemeni journalist and “mother of the revolution,” along with workshops, music, and networking.

If you attended last year’s Hip Hop Event (Ethics and Hip Hop: A Discussion with Dessa), then you know that the Nobel Peace Prize Forum is also a platform for examining the implications of art and popular culture on peace and conflict.
