Building on Augsburg University’s thirty-year history with the Nobel Peace Prize Forum and as part of our sesquicentennial celebration, Augsburg is pleased to announce the launch of the new Human Rights Forum. The new vision for a Human Rights Forum at Augsburg University draws on the results and priorities gathered through conversations and surveys administered this past fall. Our goal is to bring students, thoughtful leaders, global changemakers, and local activists together to explore innovative ways to take action in our ongoing pursuit of racial justice, indigenous rights, and environmental sustainability globally and domestically.
The 2019 Human Rights Forum will take place on Augsburg University’s campus in Minneapolis on October 28 and 29 with the programming aligned with the regular class schedule. The event is open to the entire Augsburg community, our partner schools, as well as the general public. The event will feature approximately 20 speakers, including six from the global arena, and include both larger plenaries and smaller breakout and workshop sessions.
Join us on October 28 and 29 for the Human Rights Forum at Augsburg University!
